Bay Garnett is a British fashion stylist, photographer, and author. She was born in London in 1967 and grew up in the city's East End. She attended the prestigious St. Martin's School of Art, where she studied fashion design and photography.
Garnett began her career as a fashion stylist in the late 1980s, working with photographers such as Corinne Day and Nick Knight. She has since worked with many of the world's leading photographers, including Mario Testino, David Sims, and Juergen Teller. Her work has appeared in publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, i-D Magazine, and The Face.
In addition to her work as a stylist, Garnett is also an accomplished photographer in her own right. Her photographs have been featured in exhibitions around the world and have been published in books such as "Bay Garnett: A Life In Fashion" (2014) and "Bay Garnett: Photographs" (2015).
Garnett is also an author; she wrote the book "How To Be A Grown Up" (2016), which offers advice on how to navigate adulthood with style and grace. She has also written for publications such as The Guardian and The Sunday Times Magazine.
Garnett is a passionate advocate for sustainable fashion practices; she founded the charity Eco-Age to promote ethical production methods within the fashion industry. In 2018 she was awarded an MBE for her services to sustainability in fashion.
