Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1985, Baurdzhan was always drawn to the beauty of nature and the power of photography. He began taking pictures at a young age, and soon developed a passion for capturing the beauty of his homeland. After graduating from high school, he attended the Tashkent State University of Art and Design where he studied photography and graphic design.
In 2008, Baurdzhan began working as a professional photographer, specializing in landscape and portrait photography. His work has been featured in numerous publications such as National Geographic, The Guardian, The New York Times Magazine, and many more. He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including London’s Tate Modern Gallery and Moscow’s Multimedia Art Museum.
Baurdzhan’s work is characterized by its vivid colors and unique perspectives on everyday life in Uzbekistan. His work has earned him numerous awards including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Landscape Photographer in 2017.
