Baud Postma is a Dutch photographer and visual artist based in Amsterdam. He is known for his unique and creative approach to photography, often combining elements of nature, architecture, and the human form.
Postma was born in the Netherlands in 1975. He studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, graduating with honors in 2000. After graduation, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, and GQ.
In addition to his commercial work, Postma has also created several personal projects over the years. His series “The Human Landscape” explores the relationship between humans and their environment through a combination of portraiture and landscape photography. His other projects include “The City” which captures the beauty of urban life; “The Sea” which captures the power of nature; and “The Forest” which explores the relationship between man and nature.
Postma has exhibited his work around the world including at galleries in Amsterdam, London, New York City, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles, Sydney, Hong Kong and more. He has also been featured in numerous books on photography including “Contemporary Dutch Photography” (2006) and “Dutch Masters: Contemporary Photography from The Netherlands” (2008).
Postma continues to push boundaries with his photography by exploring new techniques such as digital manipulation and 3D printing. He is currently working on a new project that combines elements of painting with photography to create unique images that explore themes of identity and transformation.
