Baptiste Giroudon is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. He is best known for his work in fashion, portraiture, and documentary photography.
Giroudon was born in Paris in 1983. He studied photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France, where he graduated with honors in 2006. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and publications.
Giroudon's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. His photographs have also been published in magazines such as Vogue, GQ, and Harper's Bazaar.
In addition to his commercial work, Giroudon has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and belonging. His series "The Other Side" (2009) examines the lives of immigrants living on the outskirts of Paris. His series "The Invisible" (2011) focuses on people living with disabilities or mental illness who are often overlooked by society.
Giroudon's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) Gold Award for his series "The Other Side" (2009). He was also named one of PDN's 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch (2010).
Giroudon continues to live and work in Paris where he is currently working on a new project exploring themes of memory and nostalgia.
