Ava Nirui is a photographer, stylist, and creative consultant based in New York City. She is best known for her vibrant and eclectic style, which often incorporates elements of fashion, art, and pop culture.
Nirui was born in Toronto, Canada in 1993. She moved to New York City at the age of 18 to pursue a career in photography. After studying at the International Center of Photography, she began working as a freelance photographer for various publications such as Vogue, Nylon Magazine, and The Fader.
In addition to her editorial work, Nirui has also collaborated with brands such as Nike and Adidas on campaigns and projects. She has also worked with musicians such as Solange Knowles and Charli XCX on music videos and album covers.
Nirui’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In 2018 she was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for Art & Style.
Nirui continues to push boundaries with her photography by exploring new mediums such as virtual reality and augmented reality. Her work is often described as “playful” and “unconventional” which reflects her unique approach to photography.
