Armen Djerrahian is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He has been shooting professionally since the early 2000s, and his work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, and Vanity Fair.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1975, Djerrahian moved to the United States at the age of 18 to pursue a career in photography. After studying at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work quickly gained recognition for its unique style and composition.
In 2006, Djerrahian released his first book of photographs titled “The World Through My Eyes” which was met with critical acclaim. Since then he has gone on to publish several other books including “The Human Condition” (2008) and “The American Dream” (2010). He has also directed several short films including “The Journey” (2009) which won Best Short Film at the Los Angeles International Film Festival.
Djerrahian’s work has been exhibited around the world including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Louvre Museum in Paris. He continues to travel extensively for his photography projects while also teaching workshops on photography and filmmaking.
