Andy Massaccesi is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He has been shooting professionally for over 15 years, and his work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, and TIME Magazine.
Massaccesi was born in Rome, Italy and moved to the United States when he was a teenager. He attended the University of Southern California where he studied film production and photography. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various publications and advertising agencies.
In 2006, Massaccesi released his first feature-length documentary film titled "The Last Days of Pompeii". The film was critically acclaimed and won several awards at international film festivals. Since then, Massaccesi has gone on to direct several other documentaries including "The Lost City of Atlantis" (2008) and "The Great Wall of China" (2010).
Massaccesi's photography has been exhibited in galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
