Andrey Yakovlev is a Russian photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing the beauty of his homeland for over two decades. Born in Moscow in 1972, he began his career as a photojournalist, working for various newspapers and magazines. His work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, GEO, and The New York Times Magazine.

Yakovlev's photography focuses on the people and landscapes of Russia, often highlighting the country's unique culture and history. He has traveled extensively throughout the country to capture its beauty, from the remote villages of Siberia to the bustling cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. His work has also taken him to other parts of Europe, including France, Italy, Spain, and Germany.

In addition to his photography career, Yakovlev is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several documentaries about Russia's culture and history, including "The Russian Soul" (2005) and "The Russian Landscape" (2008). He has also produced several short films about his travels throughout Russia.

Yakovlev's work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and at the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. He is a member of both the Union of Russian Photographers and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). In 2020 he was awarded with a Gold Medal from FIAP for his contribution to photography.
