Amy Troost makes fluid, feminine, sophisticated and effortlessly sexy images. The Ontario-born, New York-based fashion photographer immortalises the essence of an individual with delicate finesse. First introduced to photography by a friend, Amy has gone on to establish her signature style through self-taught techniques.
Amy has shot for publications such as W Magazine, i-D, Dazed & Confused, Harper’s Bazaar, The Last Magazine, V, V Man, WSJ Magazine and Vogue China, and clients such as Helmut Lang, Hussein Chalayan, Cheap Monday and Warehouse. Amy lives in New York City.
In addition to shooting a series of fashion’s hottest new faces for this issue, Amy has been working on an ongoing personal project entitled Casting Portraits since 2007, documenting models at their most fresh faced and natural.
