Aekarat Ubonsri is a Thai photographer who has been capturing the beauty of his homeland for over two decades. Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Aekarat developed an early passion for photography and began taking pictures of his family and friends at a young age.
He went on to study photography at the University of Bangkok, where he graduated with honors in 2000. After graduation, Aekarat began working as a freelance photographer, traveling around Thailand to capture its stunning landscapes and unique culture. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions around the world, including the National Geographic Magazine and the International Center of Photography in New York City.
Aekarat’s work is characterized by its vivid colors and unique perspectives. He often uses long exposures to capture the movement of people or animals within his photographs, creating dynamic images that tell stories about life in Thailand. He also experiments with different techniques such as infrared photography to create surreal images that evoke emotion from viewers.
Aekarat’s work has earned him numerous awards throughout his career, including the prestigious Hasselblad Masters Award in 2018. He continues to travel around Thailand capturing its beauty through his lens and inspiring others with his work.
