After
last months announcement that it had added 10 new models to its roster,
Victoria's Secret has now announced the location of its annual fashion show.
The iconic lingerie brand will be celebrating its highly anticipated 20th Anniversary by returning to its birthplace - New York City (Its 15th time in the city). The news was announced on its Instagram account with a photo of the finale from last year's catwalk extravaganza, alongside the caption
"We're in a New York state of mind."
"New York City was the site of the first ever Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 1995, and holds a special place in our history and our hearts," said CEO Sharon Jester Turney.
"For this year's show, our twentieth, we're returning to where it all began."
While familiar faces
Karlie Kloss and
Doutzen Kroes will surely be missed since leaving behind their VS duties earlier this year, the lingerie giants' Twentieth show will surely be a bigger and hotter spectacle considering it has the most powerful collection of established and emerging models in the world.
With a roster of 10 new lingerie-clad Angels (Stella Maxwell, Kate Grigorieva, Taylor Hill, Elsa Hosk, Martha Hunt, Jac Jagaciak, Lais Ribeiro, Sara Sampaio, Romee Strijd, Jasmine Tookes) and 5 veteran angels (Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge) the expanded Angel lineup gives Victoria's Secret the largest group of contract models in its history.
