Swarovski unveils its most Sustainable Crystals ever

Legendary Austrian Crystal brand Swarovski has unveiled 'Swarovski ReCreated Crystals' its most sustainable crystals yet.

A significant innovation in crystal creation, the groundbreaking eco-friendly crystals are made by melting down production leftovers from crystal glass breakage during the crystal manufacturing process and infusing them with new colors. The resulting product is a single new shade that is of the same impeccable quality as Swarovski's original product.

'ReCreated Crystals' combine it's exceptional savoir-faire with its circularity framework, which focuses on reducing waste and keeping materials in use. Made with sustainability in mind, the innovation allows Swarovski to produce crystals using at least 40 percent fewer natural resources than that used for its standard crystals, thereby reducing the environmental footprint of the new creation by a minimum 34 percent.

At present 'Swarovski ReCreated Crystals' have been put to use in three of its collections: Millenia, Sublima and Black Swan. Millenia bracelets, necklaces, and earrings have been crafted with both ReCreated and classic Swarovski crystals. Ocean-inspired Sublima Wave Chokers are made from ReCreated Crystals in Ice Blue illuminate. A selection of Swan motif jewelry is adorned with a luminous pave of Jet Black Swarovski ReCreated crystals.

Swarovski is committed to improving the sustainability of products across all of it's collections and aims to use ReCreated Crystals wherever it can. Each year the brand will launch ReCreated Crystals in new hues to add to its existing colorways of Jet Black, Ice Blue, and Dark Jonquil.
