Italian luxury fashion house Prada has unveiled its Galleria 2024 Handbag collection with a new campaign starring Scarlett Johansson.
A continuation of its partnership with the world-renowned actor, the campaign is a celebration of technique, an ode to the mechanism of acting as the true motor of cinema and to the talent of the actor.
Captured in New York City by director Jonathan Glazer, the still and motion images showcase Johansson shuffling between the studio and a fictionalized reality with the Galleria taking center stage as a part of an everyday wardrobe. An exploration of the depth of the craft of performing, the Galleria is presented as a fundamental facet of a woman's reality.
For 2024, the Prada Galleria handbag has been reimagined in both surface and structure, inside and out. The new collection features exclusive styles embellished with studs and made of soft leather. Pared-back and timeless, the bags reference classic styles of the past.
Prada is offering a unique personalization experience that is available at selected Prada stores. The exclusive Made to Order service, allows customers to create their own interpretation of the Prada Galleria bag by choosing from a variety of materials, including precious skins, in a spectrum of colors. They can also add their initials and choose from the classic leather or enamel logo and a luxurious diamond version.
First conceived in 2007, the Galleria bag is Prada's quintessential neoclassical creation. Its name pays homage to the renowned Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the historic flagship of Prada in Milan, where the Prada brand was founded by Mario Prada in 1913.
