Net-a-Porter introduces a New Mentorship Program for Emerging Fashion Designers

Net-A-Porter is focusing on sustainable development of young talent with its new mentorship program titled 'The Vanguard'.

The program formalizes the company's long-term expertise as an incubator and accelerator of the fashion industry's brightest new fashion talent. As part of The Vanguard, up to four nascent designers each season will be offered a comprehensive mentorship program encompassing training and guidance from NET-A-PORTER's unparalleled global team of specialists. Net-a-Porter aims to create value for young designers themselves, in terms of brand development. But, the value of the program will go far beyond this.

'As an entrepreneur turned industry leader ourselves, there is a real instinctive desire at YNAP to lend a hand to budding talents and the brands of tomorrow. Our teams are immersed in that entrepreneurial culture day-to-day, generating a passion and willingness to share their knowledge and experience with others,' said Elizabeth von der Goltz, Global Buying Director at NET-A-PORTER of the Mentorship Program.

The first brands to be supported include Gu_de from South Korea, shoe label Souliers Martinez from Spain, Ruh from Italy and Les Reveries from America. These brands will benefit from sessions that concentrate on buying, business strategy, Marketing & PR, Social Media, Tech and advice on entering new markets and territories.
