Louis Vuitton is heading to Italy this summer.
The luxury French fashion house opened an ephemeral pop-up store in Lombardy on the shores of Lake Como at Villa d'Este hotel.
The legendary hotel which opened its doors in 1873 is notable for celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable, Rita Hayworth, Ava Gardner and Elizabeth Taylor. The prestigious villa has been immortalized in cinema by Alfred Hitchcock who set his first feature film, The Pleasure Garden on location.
Louis Vuitton's pop-up will feature its summer capsule Summer by the pool, ready-to-wear, high-end collections, accessories (travel trunks) shoes, perfumes and pieces from the Objets Nomades collection as well as those designed in collaboration with renowned artists. In the menswear section there will be the second capsule produced with the National Basketball Association plus pieces designed by Virgil Abloh.
In addition to the Lake Como pop-up shop Louis Vuitton will also open another one at the Forte Village luxury sea resort on the Sardinian island, as well as a refurbished boutique in the Tuscan sea resort of Forte dei Marmi on June 24.
