French luxury leather goods company Longchamp has released a Green Line of its iconic foldable bag 'Le Pliage'.
The new range comprises of shoppers, handbags, travel bags from small to XL, as well as wallets and rucksacks in four coulourways inspired by the nature: Forest, Ocean, Earth and limited edition Snow. Furthermore, the Pliage Green's iconic Russian leather flap can be personalized with an engraved sweet note.
All of the pieces are made from recycled polyamide-nylon canvas by skillfull artisans which is in keeping with Longchamps ongoing initiatives to protect the environment.
Designed by Philippe Cassegrain the Le Pliage launched in 1993 and since then has captured hearts universally. With its simplicity, strength and lightness it has become a favorite of several celebrities like Alexa Chung, Kendall Jenner, and Jennifer Lopez.
To mark the launch of the bag Longchamp partnered with French actress Marie Papillon to express the different dimensions of the bag: Sustainability, Adaptability and uniqueness through Personalization. The resulting stories, scripted and filmed by Marie Papillon, are full of the self-deprecating, off-beat humour.
'It was a real pleasure to collaborate with Marie. We had a lot of fun, but we always worked seriously. Marie is a true perfectionist and she discovered with fascination the know-how and the attention paid to the smallest detail specific to our House, as well as the emphasis we place on sustainability,' said Longchamp artistic director Sophie Delafontaine.
Longchamp's 'Le Pliage Green' line is available now in-stores and online.
