Gucci unveils Sabato De Sarno's Debut collection with stellar Campaign

Italian label Gucci has unveiled creative director Sabato De Sarno's Debut Spring Summer 24 collection with a stellar campaign.

Titled 'Gucci Ancora', the campaign showcases a new direction for the Florentine house under De Sarno who took the reigns in January 2023. To present his vision for the House De Sarno tapped David Sims, the first photographer with which he worked when he started in fashion as well as five fresh faces - Ana Rossolovich, Fadia Ghaab, Jiahui Zhang, Nyajuok Gatdet, and Violet Hume.

The five women who combined have only about 21,000 followers on Instagram had exclusively walked his first show for the brand last September during Milan Fashion Week. Together they introduce key looks from the collection (tailored coats, body-fitting tanks and delicate knit sets) through distinctive ways portraying sensuality as an attitude of confidence, beauty, and freedom.

Celebrating individuality, the campaign pays homage to Gucci's nineties imagery that De Sarno loved during his formative years as it spotlights his understanding of today's Gucci.

The Italian term 'Ancora' which translates to 'again' in English has been an inspiration for De Sarno. 'No matter where, no matter what time of day, the Gucci Spring Summer 2024 wardrobe is an invitation for each woman to feel empowered to live exactly in her own unique way; an invitation to fall in love with that special emotion fashion inspires, ancora,' the brand said of the new collection.
