Estée Lauder Acquires Rodin Olio Lusso
After its recent signing to acquire indie fragrance brand Le Labo, Estée Lauder announced today that it has acquired luxury skin care brand Rodin Olio Lusso. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies said “RODIN olio lusso is the ultimate ‘insider’ beauty brand,”. “With its luxurious product line and strong creative point of view, we believe it has the potential to be a high-growth global skin care brand that strategically enhances our portfolio. Estee Lauder has been on a shopping spree for new brands to nurture and grow in a bid to keep up with arch rival L’Oréal, the world’s largest beauty company. The purchase of Rodin Olio Lusso enhances the company’s position in the skincare category and gives it another tool to tap into the booming oil market.

The brand is currently sold in select high-end, trend-setting boutiques and specialty-retail channels, including Barney's, Colette and Liberty.
