With physical shopping practically no longer possible due to the Coronavirus lockdown, Dior has turned its online beauty store into a virtual 3D boutique.
Identical to its Parisian flagship located on Avenue des Champs-Elysees, the boutique will be renovated six times a year, changing not only the interior but also the products. Presently, the boutique has a theme of spring and is full of flowers.
Once inside the store viewers can easily move from product to product by clicking on the arrows to find out more information about them and order them. There are even video clips about specific items that emulate the feeling of visiting the store.
'It is an excellent idea for brands to service consumers with e-initiatives, making the dream continue in spite of these difficult times,' Leila Rochet Podvin, chief executive officer and founder of Cosmetics Inspiration and Creation trends and consulting agency told WWD.
