Coach goes Fur Free

Coach is dropping animal fur.

The Tapestry, Inc. owned American fashion label made the announcement yesterday that it will no longer use real fur in its products, and pledged to phase fur out completely by the debut of the Fall 2019 collection.

'Coach has been committed to advancing sustainable practices for many years, with the introduction of our corporate responsibility goals in 2015,' said Joshua Schulman, President, and CEO of Coach in a press release. 'Back then, we laid the groundwork for prioritizing social and environmental initiatives. The decision to go fur-free is a truly meaningful milestone for the brand.'

Coach is the latest brand after Burberry, Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney, Diane von Furstenberg, Versace and Michael Kors who have joined the fur-free movement and have committed to promoting sustainable fashion.
