Italian Maison Bottega Veneta has released a quarterly digital magazine, following its disappearance on social media earlier this year.
Titled 'Issue 01: Summer Madness' the audiovisual journal features 28 artists from different mediums sporting looks from past collections alongside new season pieces. Notable personalities include R&B artist Missy Elliott (who stars in a remake of her 1999 Hot Boyz music video, wearing the brands' quilted puffers and wraparound sunglasses), fashion icon Barbara Hulanicki, photographer Walter Pfeiffer, polymath Elaine Constantine, balloon artist Masayoshi Matsumoto, Storror, Jonathan Frantini, Tyrone Lebon, and more.
'Social media represents the homogenisation of culture. Everyone sees the same stream of content. A huge amount of thought goes into what I do, and social media oversimplifies it. There is a mood of playground bullying on social media which I don't really like, I wanted to do something joyful instead. We are not just a brand, we are a team of people who work together, and I don't want to collude in an atmosphere that feels negative,' Daniel Lee, Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, told the Guardian.
Bottega Veneta's Issue 01 can be viewed in full at the brand's website.
