Arket launches activewear collection

H&M subsidiary Arket has launched a new collection of activewear.

Titled 'Arket Running' the athleisure line comprises of 24-pieces designed in Stockholm for men and women- compression leggings with matching sports bras and T-shirts, Fleece jackets and windbreakers made of weatherproof material. Black, gray and taupe serve as the basic colors of the collection.

According to the label, the capsule of modern sportswear captures in equal parts function and form through innovative materials and a thoughtful simple aesthetic. The windbreakers are made entirely from recycled polyester and the textiles used in the collection are breathable.

'In Scandinavia, running has a lot to do with making peace with the weather - as well as with your own body and mind,' said Arkets head of design Anna Teurnell. 'When walking, alternative paths can be explored - in culture, the environment and nature. Everything that nourishes body and soul. Our design is based on the concept of the modern runner, for which athletic performance and a balanced lifestyle go hand in hand.'

The Arket Running collection is available now at arket.com and in select Arket stores.
