Belgian fashion house Ann Demeulemeester has appointed Stefano Gallici as its new creative director. The announcement comes in the wake of Ludovic de Saint Sernin abrupt departure last month from his role after less than six months at its helm with only a single season.
Gallici is not new to the brand and previously worked at its menswear studio since 2020 in Antwerp, the same year the brand was acquired by Claudio Antonioli's Antonioli Group. Born in 1996, he is a graduate from Universita Iuav di Venezia in Venice, and began his fashion career in Antwerp working as an assistant designer to Haider Ackermann. In January 2019 he moved on to the Antonioli Group.
'Stefano immediately demonstrated a strong creativity and a clear vision for Ann Demeulemeester. He represents the DNA of the brand with an eye to the future,' Antonioli told WWD.
Gallici is expected to unveil his debut collection for Ann Demeulemeester on September 30 during Paris Fashion Week.
