Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
Actually yes! From when I was little all the kids in my street did little catwalk shows, and I loved the idea of traveling everywhere to do shows and shoots.
How were you scouted?
I was scouted on Instagram by Sanna Millitz Meijer (the owner of Tulip Models) when I was 17 years old. Sanna invited me to the agency to meet me in person. The meeting went very well. I liked the way Tulip Models work with their models. It's a close relationship they have with their models and they really take care. I was very happy when they offered me a contract. I decided to sign with them. That is how it all started.
How would you describe yourself as model in three words?
Kind, ambitious, versatile
Your first modeling job?
My first modelling job was for a clothing brand in Spain. It was on a beautiful location with a super nice team.
What is your favourite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
My favourite part is traveling around the world. I love to spend time in different countries and meet people from different backgrounds and cultures. I think it's very interesting to hear their visions on life and learning a lot along the way!
Is there anyone that you admire as a role model and why?
I really like Doutzen Kroes and Candice Swanepoel. Both are strong business women and they also have something to say besides modelling. They inspire people to think outside the box.
What's been your biggest OMG moment to date?
My biggest OMG moment was when I got booked for a super nice campaign. I could not believe that they flew me to South America and let me stay in a super luxury hotel. Everything was taken with so much care. It was overwhelming to be in a beautiful place and to be able to work with such an amazing team. It was a great experience.
What is your dream shoot/campaign?
For the cover of Vogue or a big campaign.
Biggest lesson that modelling has taught you?
Being an independent woman and also being flexible if needed. As a model I travel most of the times alone and I spend lots of nights alone in hotel rooms. Plans and schedules can change last minute.
What's the best life advice you've ever received?
Always to love and be true to yourself
How do you stay in shape?
I work out a lot and eat as healthy as possible. For me it's very important to feel fit and strong. I do yoga- Pilates- fitness- walking and dancing.
What do you think about fashion? What does it mean to you?
I love fashion, it's a way for people to express them self and showing others who you are and what you stand for. For me it means feeling like yourself and standing out from everybody else.
If you had to be head to tow in one designer brand for the rest of your life, which would it be?
To be honest, I can not just choose one designer. There are so many great brands and great designers. If I can choose, I prefer to mix it up.
How would you describe your style?
I love to keep it minimalistic and basic (earth tones). But very representable and classic.
Denim or leather?
Leather
Heels or flats?
Heels
Vintage or contemporary fashion?
Vintage, I also like contemporary, but I prefer when its conscious and sustainable.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Latte Macchiato and the Dutch Stroopwafels (they are caramelized waffles).
What's been your most indulgent purchase since you became a model?
A bag from Louis Vuitton!
If you were an emoji, which would you be and why?
If I were an emoji I would be: Wink Because I'm always winking even if I don't even know it
When you're not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
Spending time with my boyfriend, friends and family. Walking with my dogs, staying fit, doing fun stuff and enjoying my free time.
What are you working on now and what do you dream of happening in the future?
I'm now working a lot in Europe, going city to city! I would love to go to America and do lots of cool and big campaigns.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years' time?
To be honest I don't know yet where my path is taking me. For now, I'm going with the flow and I will see where it takes me!
