Zara joins forces with Kaia Gerber to create 90s inspired Capsule Collection

Spanish ready-to-wear brand Zara has teamed up with Kaia Gerber to create an exclusive capsule collection with a 90's charm.

Titled 'Kaia Gerber X Zara' the capsule consists of 30 reimagined pieces of garments, shoes, and accessories such as slip dresses, micro shorts, low-rise jeans , white T-shirts, denim jackets, and tank tops.

In designing the collection Gerber was inspired by her own enviable signature style and Americana of the 1990s, the minimalism of the styles of that time as well as the dressing style of her mother Cindy Crawford, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Winona Ryder, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss. She chose a limited palette of colors (black, white, brown and gray) so as to offer pieces that are easy to match with each other.

'My starting point for this collaboration with Zara was to ask if it is possible to do a collection that has everything you would ever need in your closet. If you were traveling and packed an entire collection, could it cover every possible need that you had? I think we've achieved that. 'I wasn't just thinking about myself when designing. I was thinking about my mom, my friends, and everyone I see around me. My style is pulled from a lot of different places and I didn't want to design something that excludes anyone,' Gerber said in a press release.
