Vogue Hires New Beauty Editor

Vogue has tapped Celia Ellenberg to replace its longtime beauty director Sarah Brown who left her post after 15 years at the mag.

Ellenberg, who served as a beauty writer and a reporter for the likes of Vogue, Elle, T, The New York Times and Style Magazine is expected to fill the role in July. She was also contributing beauty editor for WSJ magazine and also a beauty editor at large for Porter magazine.

Prior to Ellenberg's hiring there was speculation that SunHee Grinnell, beauty director at Vanity Fair, or Eva Chen, who stepped down as editor in chief at Lucky in April would be Brown's replacement.

Brown, who previously worked at Elle, is said to have to a number of writing projects and will be starting her own advisory focused on beauty, fashion and lifestyle. However she will stay on as a contributing editor with Vogue .
