Toni Maticevski gets major retrospective in a gorgeous new Book

Australian designer Toni Maticevksi is the subject of a new tome titled 'Maticevski: The Elegant Rebel'.

Written by prolific Australian fashion journalist, editor, curator, and author Mitchell Oakley Smith, the book celebrates the 40-year old designer's brilliant career.

Over the past two decades, his eponymous label has risen to become one of Australia's best fashion exports, dressing the Australian A-list. More recently, Maticevski opened the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia with a quiet roar in May.

With a forward by former Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Kristie Clements and over 240 pages of images, illustrations, contributions from editors and influences which whom the designer has worked alongside, the book is stunning in every manner as it chronicles his work.

Maticevski is also the subject of a retrospective exhibition, titled 'Dark Wonderland', at the Bendigo Art Gallery until November 20.
