The 2015 Pirelli Calendar Is Here & It's Incredibly Sexy !!

The Fashion industry's sexiest calendar is here and its all the reason to celebrate. Unveiled on Monday night in Milan and Titled "Calendar Girls 2015" the iconic "Cal" features an impressive roster of the sexiest women in the modeling industry; Gigi Hadid, Candice Huffine, Carolyn Murphy, Cameron Russell, Isabeli Fontana, Adriana Lima, Raquel Zimmermann, Karen Elson, Joan Smalls, Natalia Vodianova, Sasha Luss and Anna Ewers.

Photographed by the famed Steven Meisel and styled by Carine Roitfeld the former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris and founder of CR Fashion Book, the pin-up themed edition features 12 images of the supermodels in shiny latex thigh-highs and corsets. Meisel and Roitfeld worked alongside renowned make-up artist Pat McGrath. The creative team were tasked with putting together the festish-themed calendar after a five-day shoot last May in New York City. The results are stunningly beautiful and Meisel joins the ranks of previous Pirelli legends such as Herb Ritts, Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz, Karl Lagerfeld, and Mario Testino.

The calendar is noteworthy for its celebration of women and for assembling an all star cast of Fashion industry beauties. Several of the models have previously posed for the calendar while some make their debut. In addition, American Candice Huffine, made her debut as the first official plus-size model to be featured in the Pirelli calendar. Steven Meisel does an outstanding job in transforming the models to make them stunningly beautiful, to portray their nudity with no trace of vulgarity. “In my opinion, these are the key aesthetic models of today’s world. They represent the stereotypes that the fashion and star system impose upon us right now," Meisel says. "I didn’t want to make a conceptual calendar, or link it to some particular location, but rather to create 12 posters in which women, in all their sensuality, are the absolute protagonists of 12 very different images. Since I wanted to limit the use of clothes and accessories and since I had absolute creative freedom, I found it very exciting to play with the colours, the makeup, and the materials. It was a very rewarding experience.”

The Pirelli Calendar 2015 turns 42 as it follows its grand tradition of showcasing the most beautiful women in the world. Having Launched in 1964, it has featured nearly every top model of the past decades.
