Sophia Loren stars in Dolce & Gabbana's new beauty campaign

Iconic beauty Sophia Loren is the star of the latest Dolce & Gabbana beauty campaign. The Silver screen legend and Oscar-winning Italian actress has been chosen by Italian fashion house to front the 'Rosa Excelsa' spring campaign.

At 81 years of age Loren looks glamorous as ever in the ad, directed by the legendary Giuseppe Tornatore with a soundtrack by Ennio Morricone. Titled 'Rinascita - Act One,' the 15 second clip sees Loren play the mother of five sons who set about restoring their ancient family home in Sicily, Villa Valguanera, to its former renaissance glory. 'She has been a constant source of inspiration for us,' D&G founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said at the time.

This isn't the first time Loren has worked with Dolce & Gabbana, she previously collaborated with the fashion house on her Sophia Loren No. 1 lipstick, a deep red lip color that was designed by and dedicated to the actress. which debuted in September.
