Net-a-porter has teamed up with Reese Witherspoon's line Draper James for a summer capsule collection.
The 21 piece collection consists of dresses, tops, A-line skirts, jumpsuits as well as straw bags which take inspiration from the American South. The color palette focuses on pastel tones and floral prints as well as check patterns. Altogether, the collection exudes a delicate summer feeling.
'The inspiration was a summer garden party, with all the dresses you end up buying in the summer to go to weddings and in the South to go to steeple chases,' Witherspoon told WWD.
'Draper James has perfected easy summer dressing with a charmingly feminine aesthetic. It offers something new and different to the Net-a-porter customer, which we are always looking for, as well as opening us up to a new audience,' said Lisa Aiken, Net-a-Porter's retail fashion director.
With its preppy aesthetics and a lower price class of $150, the collection stands out. The collaboration with Draper James is indeed a slight change of course for Net-a-porter, which has so far focused on the luxury segment.
The Capsule Collection is available now at Net-a-porter and is also set to launch at Nordstrom soon, with two new stores coming in Atlanta and Kentucky, bringing its retail network to four stores.
