Italian women's clothing brand Miu Miu has unveiled its 2024 Upcycled Collection.
Part of its Holiday collection, it features pieces built around four singular narratives: Upcycled leather sourced globally; Vintage Upcycled kilts from the 1950s to the 1970s; Upcycled yarn crafted from the brands' archival remnants with a focus on curated color palettes; and Upcycled embroidery, incorporating black Chantilly lace bases from archival embroideries.
Each piece in the collection will be afforded Aura Blockchain verification and carries its own story and provenance, coming together to form a cohesive look across a range of unique pieces, including tartan kilts in various colors, lace tops, leather jackets adorned with appliques, wool sweaters, pompom beanies, and knitted Wander bags.
Miu Miu has partnered with the Aura Blockchain Consortium a non-profit association that promotes transparency as well as customer-centric business practices throughout the lifecycle of luxury products by leveraging blockchain and other technologies.
The collection is presented as part of Miu Miu's Holiday campaign, with actor Emma Corrin photographed by Lengua and styled by Lotta Volkova, reflecting the essence of postcard portrait photography with special color features.
This years' Upcycled collection from Miu Miu marks the fifth edition since its launch in 2020 and has become become a key pillar of the brand, both in product and aesthetic, seamlessly aligning with Miu Miu's long-term commitment to sustainability and circular design practice. The project continues to breathe new life into cherished garments from the past by preserving their history. It also enhances the experiences and enriches the lives of new wearers with a sense of style and sustainability.
