Michael Kors makes his first foray into wearable tech with a new smartwatch line.
Dubbed 'Access', the line which was announced earlier this year in Switzerland at Baselworld 2016 is available now for 399 Euro in the US, UK, and 16 other countries. Kors debuted the collection on Sunday evening at his SoHo flagship with help from A-list models like Martha Hunt, Nina Agdal and actress Zendaya.
According to Kors, The Access smartwatch was a logical consequence and is a great accessory for fashionistas.
'The goal was to come up with something that people could personalize and put their own stamp on but also makes life easier, he told a reporter for W.
The watch is available in two versions: sporty black Dylan targeted at men and an all-metal Bradshaw designed for a female audience. It is powered by Qualcomm's dedicated Wear 2100 CPU with a display of 1.4-inch TFT one, and a 320 x 290 resolution. While it offers voice-activated Google search, fitness tracking, social media alerts, the highlight is its customizable dials. According to the company there are hundreds of possible combinations between the display face, color, and sub dials.
On the accessory side, the company announced that activity trackers and additional straps for the smartwatches are also available.
