Meet Bethany Mota: this year's most Googled Fashion Designer

This years most googled fashion designer is not who you think it is. In another surprising twist 19 year old American vlogger Bethany Mota beat out Alexander Wang, Valentino, Kate Spade, and the late Oscar de la Renta to top google's list of 2014's most searched for fashion designer.

The YouTube fashion/beauty guru gathered a following on her YouTube channel Macbarbie07 where she gives styling tips and her fashion purchases. After successful partnerships with JCPenney and Forever 21 in 2013, Mota launched her own fashion line with Aéropostale.

The fashion designer did not need a fashion show to help her qualify for the prestigious designer search category but her own rising to fame thanks to her vlogging and partnerships. Mota has a whooping 7.8 million subscribers and counting. She's also made cameos on Project Runway as a judge, was Derek Hough's partner on the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars. And released her first pop single, "Need You Right Now."
