Italian luxury fashion house Marni has teamed up with American sportswear label No Vacancy Inn for a capsule collection for Summer 2023.
Entitled 'Marni x No Vacancy Inn' the collection was born out of Marni Jam, a multidisciplinary program that allows Francesco Riso, Creative Director of Marni, to collaborate with like-minded entities and creative groups.
Encapsulating both label's love for joyous color and striking graphics, the collection comprises of men's and women's ready to wear, footwear and accessories.
Reflecting a 70's nostalgia, it has everything one could want this Summer: beach sets in knit or crochet, miniskirts with psychedelic prints, baggy pants, pastel-hued raffia mules, hoodies for late summer evenings, sunglasses, bucket hats, leather gladiator sandals, baseball caps, and beach visors. Not to mention reworked Marni signature bags and accessories such as Venice mini bucket bags, and Marcel bags.
To accompany the launch of the collection, a colorful campaign lensed by Ghanaian artist Derrick Ofosu Boateng against the sands of Accra has been released.
No Vacancy Inn was founded by Acyde Odunlami and Tremaine Emory who in their early days organized a number of successful parties from East London to Miami Art Basel to Coachella. In 2015, Brock Korsan joined the brand and thereafter it ventured into lifestyle and has evolved into what we know today.
The Marni x No Vacancy Inn collaboration was previewed at the Marni Melrose Place boutique in Los Angeles on April 13th and is available now on Marni.com, in Marni Stores and 90+ selected multi-brand stores worldwide.
