Margot Robbie is Chanel's newest ambassador

Margot Robbie is the new face of Chanel.

The 27-year-old native Australian who received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her portrayal in the movie 'I, Tonya,' is an official brand ambassador for French fashion Maison.

Robbie made her appearance as a representative of the fashion group at the 2018 Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, in a white, strapless Haute Couture gown which was designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

'It's a dream to represent such a timeless and iconic brand. The history of the Chanel woman is so exciting and the brand has remained such a power feminine standard of style,' Robbie said of her excitement for the new partnership in a statement. 'I'm thrilled to be joining the Chanel family and continue their celebration of women and fashion.'

Robbie's relationship with Chanel will see her join the likes of Lily-Rose Depp, Caroline de Maigret and Keira Knightley in the highly-coveted ambassador role.
