American clothing brand Madewell has launched its first ever Athleisure collection.
Titled MWL (that's short for Make Weekends Longer) the collection comprises of 25 styles including t-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies, leggings, and bras. Priced under 100 USD, all of the pieces come in an array of colors like lavender, orange, mauve, black and beige in varying cuts and styles.
The collection is also sustainable as pieces are made from recycled polyester or organic cotton. What's even more better is that they dont lose their shape over time and have been designed to be paired with other Madewell signature classics or can be worn as loungewear.
According to Madewell the collection is the result of a survey to its customers. Earlier this year the brand had asked for feedback and found that 81% of customers had evolved their style since March at the start of the pandemic, incorporating more casual and comfortable clothing.
'Athleisure has been a widely requested category, even before the pandemic. We designed the MWL collection to merge comfort and versatility with pieces that our customers can wear all day,' said Joyce Lee, Madewell's Head of Design.
