Louis Vuitton has released a second range of painted handbags in collaboration with Pop artist Jeff Koons.
The collection is a continuation of its successful first 'Masters' collection launched earlier this year which featured prints of iconic masterpieces from Da Vinci, Titian, Rubens, Fragonard and Van Gogh and was inspired by Koons's 'Gazing Ball' series.
This time around the choice of masterpieces reproduced by Jeff Koons include the "Water Lilies" by Claude Monet, "The Breakfast in the Green" by Edouard Manet, "Glorious Land" by Paul Gauguin, "The Old Rome" by Joseph Mallord William Turner, "The Triumph of the Pan "by Nicolas Poussin as well as the" Resting Girl "by Francois Boucher. Once again, Koons transforms coveted Louis Vuitton bags like the Speedy, the Neverfull and the Keepall into portable works of art. Each bag is accompanied with the artist's name in gold lettering and Koons's initials paired with the iconic "LV" monogram.
The campaign was brought to life by an amazing crop of influencers including Chiara Ferragni, Aimee Song, Camila Coelho, and Carin Olsson, each photographed in front of the original art.
The second "Masters" edition will also be extended by additional Louis Vuitton models such as "NeoNoe", "Pochette" and "Montaigne". The collection will be available in Louis Vuitton stores from October 27, 2017 as well as online.
