Lily Rose, the 16-year-old daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp has been announced as the face of Chanel Eyewear for the brand's Fall/Winter 2015-2016 campaign.
The budding model was signed up by designer Karl Lagerfeld himself for the brands Pearl eyewear collection, and appears in a series of stunning portraits and a video ad, which were shot by Lagerfeld himself. Sporting a pair of Pearl adorned pink Chanel sunglasses and an ivory top with a ruffled collar, Depp looks very much like a pro. In the ad, the young model and actress is supposed to be a baby-doll in a world imbued with sweetness and femininity.
"Lily-Rose is stunning, she's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star," said Lagerfeld in a statement.
Lily who is already a favorite of Lagerfeld has been carving out her own path in the industry. In April, the budding model made her fashion editorial debut in U.K. magazine Oyster. Just nine days ago she made
her runway debut at Paris Couture Week when she was featured in today's Chanel showcase. Besides modeling she has also starred alongside her famous father in Yoga Hosers (released in June this year), and recently appeared in the video for Irish rapper Rejjie Snow's new track All Around The World.
Lily is a natural when it comes to camera and takes after her mother Paradis who has been a longtime Chanel ambassador and is famously close with the fashion house's creative director. As the most talked-about rising star in fashion right now it was only a matter of time before she was cast in a campaign for the brand.
