Kate Hudson has joined forces with Michael Kors and Watch Hunger Stop in anticipation of World Food Day (16 October 2016). Marking the second time that the Hollywood actress has come in to help fight global hunger, Hudson brings her signature sense of optimism, generosity and glamour to the table to help build a world with zero hunger by raising awareness and funds for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). 'I'm honoured to continue my collaboration with Michael on this important cause,' the A-list actress, author, entrepreneur and humanitarian said of the project. 'We are all responsible for making sure the world's children grow up healthy, happy, strong and educated and that all begins with eradicating hunger.' 'Hunger is a complicated problem, but the simple truth is that if we work together, we can solve it,' Michael Kors said in a statement. 'Watch Hunger Stop supports WFP's school meals programme, improving the lives of the world's most vulnerable children. It's a cause that should matter to everyone, because in the end we're all part of the same community.' This year a host of initiatives have been put in place to help raise money and awareness, from special-edition watches and activity trackers (priced from $145), to free charity slogan T-shirt's with a specific hash tag on social media. Additionally, customers can also donate online or via text. Watch Hunger Stop is now in its fourth year and has enabled the World Food Programme to deliver more than 13 million meals to children in need.
