Karl Lagerfeld gives away prom dresses

Karl Lagerfeld's line 'Karl Lagerfeld Paris' has joined forces with the non-profit organization 'Girls Inc of New York City', which campaigns for the educational opportunities of young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. The designer wants to make the prom a memorable event that marks the start of a self-determined future for underprivileged girls.

Throughout April 2018, for each dress purchased from Karl.com Lagerfeld will donate another dress to the organization. Finally, on April 27, a pop-up store will be held in New York where 100 graduates from ten selected New York schools, (who would normally not be able to afford a copy), will be allowed to choose prom dresses online or in the pop-up store.

'The girls of today are the women of tomorrow,' said Lagerfeld who wants to give the young generation self-confidence through the dresses from 'Karl Lagerfeld Paris'.
