Karl Lagerfeld and his 3-million-euro-earning cat, Choupette Lagerfeld are the stars of a capsule collection for the designers eponymous label.
The father-cat duo duo have been sketched by french artist Tiffany Cooper in a series of imagined "summer road trip" drawings which feature on T-shirts, sweaters and accessories. The collection is priced between $50 to $200 and will debut in Paris on April 1. It will be available online at StyleBop.com and in Karl Lagerfeld boutiques beginning April 4.
Karl recently revealed
in an interview with The Cut that his beloved Siamese kitty raked in more than 3 million Euros from two modeling gigs; one for japanese cosmetics brand Shu Uemura and the other for a Vauxhall Corsa car calendar. Choupette even has her own maids from whom she receives beauty treatments.
'She is like a human being, but the good thing is that she’s silent. You don’t have to discuss it,' Lagerfeld said.
'She hates other animals and she hates children. She stays always with me and she has two personal maids. They play with her, they have to take care of her beautiful white hair, the beauty treatments for her eyes, and they entertain her. She is the center of the world. If you saw her, you would understand. She is kind of Greta Garbo. There is something unforgettable about her, the way she moves, the way she plays. She’s an inspiration for elegance. For attitude.'
