Premium high-street Fashion label Karen Millen is undergoing a brand transformation with a new campaign star thats aimed at appealing to hip, younger customers, both in the U.K. and worldwide. After teasing for weeks about who the unidentified red-headed ‘model’ of their new Fall ’14 campaign might be the brand unveiled today that it was none other than Sophie Turner, otherwise known as Game of Throne’s Sansa Stark.
The video titled 'The Journey' was directed by fashion photographer Glen Luchford and styled by the legendary Katy England. Filmed in London’s East End the video showed an unidentified ‘model’ (Turner) walking the streets of London before hopping into a black cab.
The AW14 campaign focuses on expert tailoring, luxe knitwear and thick and cosy coats.
A spokeswoman for Karen Millen revealed:
“The London-focused KM campaign is a culmination of a year of transformation for Karen Millen – and Sophie Turner, a rising international star, embodies the brand.”
And it seems Sophie Turner is pretty ecstatic to step into the Karen Millen shoes too:
“Everyone knows Karen Millen. It’s incredible. I’m so excited to be a part of it.” "I jumped at the chance to be a part of their campaign when they approached me" she tells style.com
Karen Millen has been working on its image in the last year. Following the recent openings of an 8000 square footone flagship store in Knightsbridge back in April it has also been expanding further overseas with a US flagship on New York’s exclusive Fifth Avenue earlier this month.
