French brand Jacquemus has unveiled its first sneakers in collaboration with American footwear brand Nike.
Simon Porte Jacquemus, Creative Director of Jacquemus asked the brands' followers in an Instagram post "Hello! Do you want to see our first sneaker?" to which they replied "Yes". The new sneakers are a reinterpretation of Nike's 1997 Humara shoe, which is Jacquemus' personal favorite. The iconic shoe comes in two versions: gray and white, brown and beige branded with the golden Nike Swoosh logo.
'I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the 90's. Having this imagery in mind, we designed women's athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors, along with my own interpretation of the Humara - my favorite Nike shoe,' said Simon Porte Jacquemus.
The yet unpriced Jacquemus x Nike sneaker will be available June 28th exclusively on the Jacquemus' website.
