H&M launches Pride collection

H&M is launching a new collection in support of inclusivity to coincide with LGBT Pride Month.

The capsule line which will be launched on On May 31, includes T-shirts, crop tops, jeans, socks, tank tops, shorts, cutoff jeans, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hoodies, caps, fanny packs and other accessories.

All of the items from the collection carry a seventies vibe and feature rainbows and pastel colors with graphic prints such as equality, pride, and love. 'H&M believes in everybody's right to love who they want,' said Andreas Lowenstam, H&M's head of men's wear design. 'We hope people can use H&M's Pride collection to celebrate their belief in equal love.'

The campaign for the new line was produced in collaboration with Out Magazine and features Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy, singer Kim Petras, model and activist Gabrielle Richardson, rapper and drag entertainer Aja and model and musician Shaun Ross.

This is the first time that H&M has released a capsule collection in support of the LGBTQ community. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale will go to the United Nations Human Rights Office Free & Equal campaign.

The H&M Pride Collection will be sold in 148 U.S. stores, select other retailers and H&M outposts around the world as well as online.
