Hedi Slimane captures his new Celine collection in Berlin

Hedi Slimane, chief designer of Celine, lensed the campaign for his men's Winter 2019 collection.

Shot at several locations in Berlin with a special history the black and white images feature male models Niall Walker, Steffen Peetz and Tobias Vincentz on rooftops and leaning against graffiti-covered walls of some of its most striking buildings sporting looks from the new collection.

Berlin serves as a motif of the campaign and demonstrates how connected Slimane is to the city and its way of life. For example, the music club SO36 near the Kottbusser Tor in Kreuzberg which has been a fixture for the city's punk and new wave scene, the beer brush, a 47-meter-high, futuristic-looking Pop Art tower with bullseye-like windows from the 1970s in the district of Steglitz, and the Funkhaus Nalepastrasse in the district of Treptow-Kopenick.

With the new campaign photos, Slimane shows not only the rough, unadorned side of the city but also their liveliness and its ability to constantly reinvent itself.
