Gucci Creative Director Michele Alessandro has for the third time tapped Harry Styles for the label's Men's Tailoring Pre Fall 2019 Campaign.
Lensed by film director and artist Harmony Korine the singer, songwriter and actor appears "in a dream landscape surrounded by statues and works of art" with the styling more eccentric than the previous two campaigns. In one of the images Styles can be seen in a garden shed overgrown with ivy, wearing a jacket of houndstooth jacquard (around 2500 euros) with matching cape (around 1800 euros), only to break this combination with sweatpants and slippers.
Combining antiquity with modernity, together with Styles Michele explores the boundaries of good taste, traditional masculinity, classic chic and opulent luxury.
The new campaign marks Styles' third collaboration with the Italian fashion house and follows on the cruise collection of 2019, in which he was lensed in the enchanted garden of Villa Lante, just outside Rome and before that for its spring/summer 2018 campaign in which he appeared in looks from its 2018 collection lensed in a fish and chip shop in north London.
