Fendi and Versace release highly anticipated Fendace Collection



Italian luxury fashion houses Fendi and Versace have teamed up to create two unique collections.

Dubbed 'Fendace' the collections which debuted during Milan Fashion Week back in September comprises of a range of womenswear and menswear ready-to-wear bags, and accessories.

Donatella Versace and Kim Jones swapped roles to create create a collection that was inspired by their friendship and celebrates the legacy, symbols of both fashion houses and their cultural impact. Signature silhouettes, expert craftsmanship, FF patterns and the iconic Medusa motifs are seamlessly combined.

The women's collection offers signature silhouettes from both brands reimagined in soft jersey and silk emotive prints with the FF logo, cut-out detailing, and jewel embellishments as well as the Fendi First sandal and the bestselling Fendi Match sneaker. Standout pieces include "Fendace La Medusa", which combines the "Versace La Medusa" with the iconic Fendi logo print, and the "Fendace Peekaboo" & "Baguette", which combine the Fendi silhouettes with the typical Versace style united.

The Men's Collection comprises of sleek suede jackets, sporty reversible designs and printed silk ensembles in a striking palette of black, gold and pink tones. A selection of a selection of sneakers, slides and moccasins accented with the collection's Fendace logo round up the collection.

A campaign lensed by Steven Meisel and featuring supermodels Naomi Campbell, Kristen McMenamy, Adut Akech, Amar Akway, Anja Rubik, Anok Yai, Imaan Hammam and Lina Zhang has been released.

'It's a swap rather than a collaboration and, most of all, it is done out of friendship. It is the beauty of togetherness after time apart and a celebration of women who have inspired me so much,' Kim Jones said in a statement.

'The campaign captures the same sense of friendship and energy we had when we were designing the collection. Kim is a visionary designer and innovator. To me, Fendace will always mean love,' said Donatella Versace, Chief Creative Officer of Versace, in a statement.
