An exhibition dedicated to Austrian fashion design will be opening this week in Vienna.
Titled 'Show Off. Austrian Fashion Design' the exhibition has been organized by the Museum of Applied Arts. It is the first of its kind and will showcase the work of a wide spectrum of designers who are from Austria, work here, or were educated here in fashion.

There is also Viennese cult labels such as Wendy&Jim and Andreas Kronthaler, who for the past two years has been part of the label 'Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood,' and last but not least an exhibition by Kenneth Ize and Susanne Bisovsky represent the renowned younger generation.
In the midst of this, works by 30 fashion photographers such as those by Elfie Semotan and Lukas Gansterer will be shown and the story of the famous Vienna University of Applied Arts Vienna, whose first "fashion professor" in the 1980s was none other than Karl Lagerfeld.
