Emporio Armani to skip Milan showcase next season

Emporio Armani will showcase its Spring/Summer 2018 collection of its women's line in London.

Announced by Giorgio Armani, the news marks the second time that the brand will show in the British capital (it previously showcased its 2007 collection).

'London, dynamic, energetic and cosmopolitan is the perfect setting for my Emporio Armani collection,' the 82-year-old Milan-based designer said in a statement.

The move marks a trend to present at outside of Milan in recent years. Last year his spring/summer 2017 collection was hosted in Paris, following the re-furbishing of the brand's boutique and Cafe on Boulevard St. Germain.

The Armani womenswear show will take place on Sunday, September 17 during London fashion week.
