Clare Waight Keller to pay homage to Hubert de Givenchy at Couture Show

Clare Waight Keller will pay homage to Hubert de Givenchy at the house's Fall-Winter 2018 Haute Couture runway presentation.

The artistic director who recently made headlines for designing Meghan Markle's minimalist-chic wedding dress will celebrate the legacy of the designer who passed away in March at age 91.

Titled "Caraman", the collection is 'an homage to Hubert de Givenchy's iconic creations, technique and personal lexicon' and a 'celebration of his timeless elegance and grace, imbued with Waight Keller's fresh take on the Givenchy spirit.'

Hubert de Givenchy founded the house in 1952 and in 1959 moved the couture house and ateliers into a 19th-century townhouse. It is here that Hollywood stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich, and Jackie Kennedy came to be fitted.

The Givenchy Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection will debut July 1 in Paris.
